Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Kim Delaney is famous for playing Detective Diane Russell on ABC's series NYPD Blue. The actress also starred on the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of an United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised by her four siblings. When she was a kid she was aspired to become a reporter for the court. After graduating from high school and moving to New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. She starred in 1981 as an innocent teen in the film All My Children.
